Leo Olszewski, age 80, resident of 24435 State Highway #408, Cambridge Springs, PA, passed away at Hospice House, N. Wayland Road, Meadville on November 17, 2014. He had been in failing health, especially the last two months. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 30, 1934, Leo was a son of the late Albert Olszewski and Kathryn Marnik Olszewski. He married the former Kay Hendrickson on June 21, 1980 and she preceded him in death on December 11, 2010.

Olszewski, LeoLeo was raised in Pittsburgh and began working as a young man for Henry J. Finck Tire Recapping until 1956 when the business moved to Cambridge Springs. Leo continued to work for Henry Finck until 1980 when he purchased the tire retail business, still known as Finck Tires, Inc. He continued to operate the retail business until his retirement in 1993. Making friends very easily, Leo enjoyed his rapport with his clients and friends which were many and wide spread in the area. Leo enjoyed traveling to Florida and the beaches there and particularly liked the City of Naples.

Leo was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Cambridge Springs.

Surviving Leo is his sister, who was very close to him – Helen Payne of Cambridge Springs; two sons – Leo Olszewski and his wife, Debbie of Cambridge Springs; and Gary Olszewski and his wife, Diane of Cambridge Springs; two grandsons – Leo Olszewski and his wife, Rachel; David and his special friend – Mary Lou of McKean; and a great grandson – Lucas Anthony Olszewski. Also surviving are four step children – Steven Nowalk-Tucci and his wife, Kathleen; Beth Tucci-Butler and her husband, Richard of Pittsburgh; Susan Tucci of Dallas, TX; Michael Tucci and his wife, Kim of Venango. Preceding Leo in death were four brothers – Paul, Joe, Edward, Joe, and John Olszewski.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral services will be held there on Friday morning at 11:00 with Reverend David Poulson, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Cambridge Springs, officiating. Interment will be in Venango Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 448 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
