David Eugene Lilley, age 54, resident of 17827 Ash Drive, Saegertown, PA, died at his home on Friday, December 12, 2014, after a lengthy illness surrounded by members of his family. Born on May 8,1960 in Meadville, PA, David is a son of Janice Harmon Lilley and the late George Lilley. He married the former Paula J. Hare Scott on July 26, 2005 and she survives.
David’s work was as a farm hand at various local farms and also as an over the road truck driver.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his father, by a brother – Donald Lilley. Survivors in addition to his wife, Paula, and his mother – Janice Nichols of Meadville, include a daughter – Rebecca McCartney and her husband, Greg of Cambridge Springs; a son – David Lee Lilley and his wife, Amanda of Meadville; a step-son- Stephen Scott of Saegertown; six grandchildren – Brittany McCartney and Bradley McCartney, both of Meadville ,Dakota Lilley and Sierra McCartney, both of Cambridge Springs, Brady Scott of Conneaut Lake, and Asia Buckley of Saegertown; two half-brothers – Rick Nichol of Meadville and Robbie Lilley of Pittsburgh; two step-sisters – Tammy Lyon of Meadville and Lisa Roberts of Pittsburgh, a step-brother -Brian Krise of Cambridge Springs; and a step-mother – Linda Lilley of Cambridge Springs. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. David also leaves behind his best friend – Dozer, a Boston Terrier.
No calling will be observed. A memorial service will be held at the Saegertown American Legion on Saturday, December 20th at 11:00 a.m. with a dinner to follow.
