Dolores Ann Gosik, age 79, passed away at her son’s residence on Middle Road, Edinboro, PA on Monday, January 26, 2015 after an extended illness. Born on November 21, 1935 in Meadville, PA, Dolores was a daughter of the late Nicholas Swedrock and Hazel Harasebuck Swedrock. She married Anthony D. Gosik on April 26, 1958 who preceded her in death on December 19, 1978.

.Gosik, Dolores AnnFollowing her graduation from Conneautville High School and her marriage, she and her husband operated the family dairy farm on Irish Road, Edinboro until the mid-1960’s. Together, they then began beef farming which they continued until 1990. Dolores thoroughly enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and reading. She was a member of Saint Philips Catholic Church in Crossingville.

Dolores is survived by a daughter – Christine Franzi and her husband, Rodney of Boardman, Ohio; a son – Paul A. Gosik and his wife, Kathy A. and their daughter – Sarha Gosik all of Edinboro; four step grandchildren – Christy, Chad, Kelly, and Sherri; six step great grandchildren – Jordan, Lucy, William, Grayson, Connor, and Emelia; and several nieces and nephews. Also remaining with the family is her grand dog – “Bear” whom she loved very much. Preceding Dolores in death, in addition to her parents and her husband, was a brother – John Swedrock and a sister – Betty Hepak.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Friday, January 30th from 2:00 – 4:00 and from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. An additional visitation hour will be held on Saturday morning at the funeral home from noon until 1:00 when a funeral service will be held with Reverend Philip Oriole, pastor of Saint Phillip Catholic Church in Crossingville, officiating. Interment will be in Saint James Cemetery.
