Joey Duane Brink Jr., age 58, of Cambridge Springs, died at his home on Monday, February 23, 2015. Born in Meadville, PA on July 7, 1956, he was the son of Edna C. Brink and the late Joe Duane Brink. Joey graduated with the Cambridge Springs High School Class of 1974. He enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1975 until 1977.
He is survived by his mother – Edna Brink Haines of Apache Junction, AZ; his sister – Margaret Louise Massung and husband, Tom of Gold Canyon, AZ; a niece – Melissa Massung Chiasera and her husband, August of Timonium, MD; two great nieces – Gabriella Chiasera and Sophia Chiasera; and many cousins. He is also survived by special friends – Karla Lippert, Ron “Gator” Baker, and Pat Jones. He was an avid jogger and often could be seen running in the Cambridge Springs community. Joey was kind, caring, and considerate of others and will be greatly missed by his many friends and acquaintances.
Visiting hours will be at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Thursday, February 26th from 6 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be there Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Daren Barnett, associate pastor of First Baptist Church in Cambridge Springs, officiating. Burial will be in Cambridge Springs Cemetery.

To Joey’s family, So very sorry to hear of Joey’s unfortunate passing. He was my best friend for many years, and those memories will never go away. With deep regrets, I am not going to able to be there with all of you. The times that we spent together hunting on beautiful autumn days and the times that our families spent at Camp Millstone will always be remembered.
