Anthony John Padovani Jr. was reunited with his Heavenly Father on February 14th, 2015. He passed away peacefully at his home of natural causes.
A graduate of Cathedral Prep in 1953, Anthony served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Erie School District in 2001.
Anthony was also known as Tony or “T” to many. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved wildlife. He loved to shoot pool at a competitive level and was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved spending time at his camp and in his garden. Tony was also an active member of the American Legion Post #285.
Anthony was the son of the late Anthony J. Sr. and Adella (Wroblewski) Padovani. He was also preceded in death by his sister Amelia Dorich.
He is survived by his daughters– Toni (Tim) Sullivan, Carla Padovani (James), Paula (Brad) Baldwin, Monica (James) Cole, and Alicia (Shawn) Willett; his sister Carla (James) Lewis and brother Samuel (Elaine) Padovani; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters, several nieces and nephews, and dear friends Scott (Janice) Litz.
Friends may visit with the family at the Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend the funeral service there Friday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Gregory Passauer of All Saints Parish will officiate.
T….you will be missed but not forgotten! I will always remember the great times on the stream or in the woods!
T or as I called him “Fist” sure was a unique guy, he was a good friend and some amazing stories, he sure was his own man. I’ll miss ya buddy.
