Christine Ann Kaufmann Brinkley, age 69, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at her home in Waterford where she has lived for the past three years.

Born in Erie on October 3, 1945, Chris was a daughter of the late Frank J. and Bernadine Lyons Kaufmann. She grew up in Summit Township and graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School. On June 22, 1968 she married Richard Joseph Brinkley and lived in Meadville for several years before moving to Minneapolis, MN. Chris worked in the medical laboratory field for many years, retiring in 2000. She was an avid reader, and she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and loved her dogs.

Her husband, Richard Brinkley preceded her in death on April 14, 1995. She is survived by a sister, Rebecca J. Crocker and her husband Robert of Mill Village, and a brother, Fredrick J. Kaufmann and his wife Susan of Erie; and six nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be there Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Thomas Hoeke of Summit United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville.
