Jennifer Marie Newell, age 31, resident of 2952 Poplar Street, Erie, PA died unexpectedly Tuesday evening at her home. A daughter of Valerie Joan Wise Newell and the late Robert C. Newell, Jennifer was born on May 13, 1983, in Washington, PA. She graduated from Cambridge Springs High School with the class of 2001 and from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005 where she received a degree in nursing. Jennifer began her career as a registered nurse at St. Vincent Health Center in 2005 and worked there until 2009. Subsequently, she worked at Golden Living Center and Beverly Health Center in Cambridge Springs. Currently, she was working as a clerk at the Erie County Court House.
Jennifer enjoyed all types of music and art and played several instruments. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cambridge Springs and attended the Elevate Church in Erie. Jennifer was a warm and giving person who enjoyed spending her time with friends and family.
In addition to her mother, Jennifer is survived by her mother – Valerie Newell of Cambridge Springs; her sister – Sarah Pawloski and her husband, Gabriel of Sarver, PA and their children – Isabella and Elijah; her sister, Diania Kjar Janoski and her husband – Andrew of Cambridge Springs and their children – Julia Adolphson, Emily Kammenzind and her husband Albert, Elizabeth Adolphson, and Caroline Adolphson; her sister – Trisha Kjar Trujillo of Cambridge Springs and her children – Christopher White, Mathew White, Alba Trujillo, and Sara Trujillo; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father – Robert Newell who died in 2007; her grandparents – Harland and Dorothy Wise and Lester and Dorothy Newell.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Tuesday, April 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to a funeral service there on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Rod Beardsley and Pastor Darren Barnett officiating. Interment will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made directly to the Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 335 Venango Avenue, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403.

I was so sorry to hear about Jennifer passing. I was a classmate and while I did not know Jennifer real well, she always seemed like a sweet girl. My sympathy goes out to all of you, her family and friends. May God be with you during this difficult time.
