Paul G. Theriault passed away at his home at 1520 hours on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the age of 60. Paul is survived by his loving wife – Patrice A. Theriault of 27 years. They were married at their home in Union City on September 24, 1988.

Paul is lovingly remembered by his two sons ???? Phillip R. Theriault who is currently attending US Navy Flight Training, and Christopher M. Theriault who is currently living in Pittsburgh, PA attending Duquesne University studying Pre-Med. He is further survived by his mother ???? Mildred Custance of Edinboro, PA; a brother ???? Bill Theriault of Patchogue, NY; nephew ???? Bob Theriault; brothers-in-law ???? Bruce Knox (Jackie) and Gerard Knox; sisters-in-law ???? Denise Nagle (Michael) and Kathleen Skarka (Robert); niece and nephews ???? Courtney Knox, Bruce Knox, Jr., Gerard Nagle, William Nagle, Tom Knox, Hayden Knox, Colin Skarka, and many very close friends.

Paul was born in Beimont, Massachusetts on November 9, 1954. He graduated from Buffalo Avenue High School, Long Island, New York in 1972. Paul enlisted in the US Navy on May 20, 1976 where he was designated and went to school for Aviation Electronics Technician. He was stationed for a combination of 11 years in Squadrons VF 171 and VF 31, their home base being NAS Oceana Virginia Beach, VA. He also served on board Naval Aircraft Carrier USS John F. Kennedy where he worked side by side with photographers loading and unloading camera pods on F14?????s for photo recognizance. He received an Honorable Discharge August in 1987.

He moved to Union City, PA and co-owned C&P Logging business with partner, Charlie Platt from 1987 until 1993. Paul entered into the Department of Corrections on June 1, 1993 at State Correctional Institute Albion in Albion, PA. His first DOC ranking was Correctional Officer on May 22, 1994; next ????raining Sergeant???? on May 19, 1996; and then promoted to ????raining Lieutenant???? on February 20, 2000. Paul was then promoted to ????ecurity Captain???? October 31, 2004 at State Correction Institute Forest, in Marienville, PA. He then went on to State Correctional Institute Mercer in Mercer, PA on March 26, 2006 where he held the position as ????ajor of the Guard????. On September 7, 2008 he was promoted to Corrections Classification Programs Manager ???? CCPM. Paul worked diligently until his retirement on January 2, 2015.

Paul enjoyed doing everything with his wife and sons including, but not limited to motorcycle riding, camping and boating (Kinzua Dam), snow skiing, hunting, scuba diving, and hanging out in the garage with family and friends enjoying a beer and sharing stories and laughs.

Visitation will be held at Paul and Patrice?????s home, 13769 Pont Road, Springboro, PA on Thursday, May 14th and Friday, May 15th from 12 noon until 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 10 AM at St. Philip Catholic Church, 25797 State Hwy 98, Edinboro, PA with Pastor Father Philip Oriole officiating. Monsignor John Swoger and Father Dan Hoffman from Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Edinboro will be co-celebrants. Immediately following Mass everyone is invited to a lunch buffet at McKean Edinboro VFW, 0613 Route #98, Edinboro,PA (817-734-2797).
