Beverly Alice McLaren of Edinboro, PA, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie. She was born August 26, 1933 in New Brunswick, NJ, to Alfred and Alice Hague, and was a long time resident of Knoxville and Kingsport, TN, and later of Cocoa Beach, FL.

Beverly graduated from Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN and did graduate work at U.T. Martin in Martin, TN. She married her husband Kenneth in 1954 in New Brunswick, NJ. She was employed for 20 years at the Department of Employment Security of the State of Tennessee in Bristol, TN and retired in 1998.

Family members that predeceased her include her parents; a daughter Alice Anne Kelley; and a brother, Roger Hague of Glens Falls, NY. She is survived by her husband Kenneth McLaren; a son Grant McLaren of Erie, a professor at Edinboro University; her grandchildren, Lauren Stephens and husband John, and Josh Kelley; her sisters-in-law, Anne Abbate, and Margaret Mitchell and husband Robert; and 13 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Edinboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the scholarship fund of the Psychology Department at Edinboro University of PA.
