Watson, Laura Ann

Laura Ann Watson, age 40, of 21001 State Hwy # 86, Cambridge Springs, PA went to be with Jesus and her heavenly Father from her home on Thursday, August 27, 2015. Laura was born on December 14, 1974 in Meadville, PA, the beloved daughter of Keith L. Watson and Linda S. Baker Watson. She was able to attend Race Street School in Meadville for four years and completed her required education with in-home instruction through PENNCREST School District.

For many years, Laura was able to be in her room at the Gospel Book & Supply Store in Meadville. Her parents were grateful that she was a team member in the family business.

One of Laura’s favorite activities was a ride in the car listening to Gospel music and anticipating an ice cream treat. She was especially fond of her grandfather, Wendell, who, while he lived, made those jaunts happen innumerable times. Laura was blessed to enjoy her precious life and those things which brought her great pleasure and were so meaningful.

Preceding Laura in death were her paternal grandparents, L. Wendell Watson and Betty L. Kiser Watson and her maternal grandmother, Lena M. Baker. Surviving Laura are her parents, Keith and Linda Watson.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Keith and Linda,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. You have both taken such tender care of Laura all of these years. You were a blessing to her, as I’m sure she was to you.

I wrote this in 1991 after the death of our little family. We hope it brings a bit of comfort to you and yours as it did for us.
The Children
Why does God in His Heaven above, choose to break hearts down here?
He takes up the children we truly love and depletes our hearts of all cheer.
It is difficult with the minds we retain to grasp hold of a reason why.
We hope and pray that deep in the pain He will give us the will to try.

Everyone knows that He gave up His Son to make all believers free
And I also know that He’s the one who died in place of me.
But now I think of the children we had that made our life complete
And then I become exceedingly glad to know they rest at His feet.

It seems to me that the older we get the quicker we are to complain
When all of our faith must be met to come to grips with such pain.
For the challenge of losing a treasured one, especially one so small,
Is a challenge that can’t be a measured one for nobody stands that tall.

The day will come I know deep inside when we’ll be together again,
But how can I possible hope to abide with all of this sorrow within?
I must have the strength to make my way in a world I do not chose
And hope that on some future day this agony I might lose.

Keith and Linda,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss. We are so grateful that while death may not be avoided, it has been defeated, and it doesn’t have the last word. What a wonderful gift Laura has been to you, and you to her. May God grant you His continued sustaining grace. We do not grieve as those who have no hope! Thank you for your investment in God’s people through the years.
Grace and peace,
John & Cindy

Keith and Linda,
You are two special people who responded willingly to God’s special plan for your lives. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time of loss and adjustment.

When you are ready to “get away”, Bonaire is a nice, peaceful place. You are always welcome.

Dear Keith and Linda,

We were sad to learn that Laura has passed away. I remember her in the room in the back of the store, I remember seeing her riding with her grandpa in the car, she was a joy to meet. Laura was a gift and she will be missed. Love and prayers to you both.

Dear Keith and Linda,
We are so happy to hear Laura is home with Jesus. But our hearts are saddened for the loss you are feeling. I remember so well her rides with Wendell. They would deliver my order then head for the back roads and to get ice cream. She loved her special time with Grandpa. You are such wonderful parents and we pray your special relationship with Jesus Christ, friends, and many wonderful memories will help during this time.

With deepest sympathy,
