Dean L. Koseff, age 54, resident of 8955 Armstrong Road, Guys Mills, PA, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at Meadville Medical Center, Meadville, PA on Thursday, September 24, 2015. Born on November 9, 1960 in Union City, PA, Dean was a son of Roger Koseff and the late Eva Parisot Koseff. He married the former Lisa Lymon on July 1, 2006 and she survives.
Following his graduation from General McLane High School in Edinboro in 1979, Dean entered the US Army serving his country for four years. Upon his honorable discharge he attended Edinboro University for several years and then started his own construction business which he operated for over 10 years. Following that he was employed by Joy Manufacturing in Franklin for 9 years and then attended Precision Manufacturing Institute in Meadville and remained employed by them as an instructor teaching welding and electronics. Dean was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed traveling within the States and camping. He enjoyed cooking and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving Dean in addition to his wife. Lisa, are his children – Sylvie McCriss and her husband, Matt; Nathan Koseff; Mindy Peterson and Emmalee Koseff. Dean is also survived by his grandchildren – Ethan Peterson and Elise Peterson; and a brother – Alain Koseff. He was preceded in death in addition to his mother, Eva Parisot Koseff, by his maternal grandparents – Jean and Marie Parisot; his paternal grandparents – Daniel and Irene Koseff; and by infant twin brothers – Steven and Sylvie.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Funeral Home, 306 Erie Street, Edinboro on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin there at 7:00 p.m.
