MaryAnn Talkington, age 80, resident of Meadville, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Meadville Medical Center, Meadville, PA.

Born on October 4, 1935 in Meadville, MaryAnn was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Margaret Schwab Onesky. MaryAnn married Harry Wayne Talkington on March 24, 1964 and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1995.   A home maker, MaryAnn participated at Edinboro University in a reading program for the blind. She enjoyed, in addition to reading, solving puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

   Surviving MaryAnn are six children – Margaret Snow of Erie; Daniel Briggs of Meadville; Cynthia Brecker and her husband, Robert of Cambridge Springs; Brenda Marie Starr of Meadville; Beverly Smiley of Saegertown and Tracy Carpin of Meadville. Also 14 grandchildren survive – Amanda, Jamie, Jason, Stephaney, Carl, Michael, Jennifer, Robert, Stephen, Andrew, Adam, Sara, Emily, and Gregory. Additionally, there are several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; two brothers – Paul Onesky, Thomas Onesky; and two sisters – Dorothy Green and Cynthia Manuel. Preceding MaryAnn in addition to her late husband, Harry Wayne, was a son – Neil Starr, a granddaughter – Erica Carpin, and a grandson – Benjamin Carpin.

      The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 29th from 1:00 until 5:00 at the Active Aging Center, 1054 Park Avenue, Meadville. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs.
