Lewis Dove, 85, of Waterford, passed away at his home on December 5, 2015. He was born on July 1, 1930 in Warren County, PA, son of the late Donald Dove and Frances Dove. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Steen) Dove. Lewis is survived by four children: Otto (Barbara) Dove of Alexandria, VA, Allen (Shirley) Dove of Richland, MI, Helen (Richard) Cameron of Dyer, IN, and Anne (David) Shields of Morgan Hill, CA. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Russel (Jessica) Dove, Adam (Sara) Dove, Kristen (Matthew) Ellis, Gregory Cameron, Katherine Dove and Eric Dove. His three great-grandchildren are: Hailey and Carter Dove and Charles Ellis.
Also surviving are his extended family of brothers and sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Don) Kozy, Jane (David) Rockwood, May (Don) Kraus, Wayne Steen, and Martha (Drew) Rockwood, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dove was employed by the Fort LeBoeuf School System for 44 years until his retirement in 1995, both as an administrator and a teacher. An avid historian, he wrote many books on the history of the LeBoeuf Valley. In the 1960’s, Mr. Dove was instrumental in bringing Little League to the Waterford area. His hobbies included gardening and hunting.
