Delroy H. Lewis, age 81, of Espyville, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lewis, Delroy?? He was born on December 7, 1934, in Erie and spent his childhood and much of adulthood in Cambridge Springs, graduating from Cambridge Springs High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, specializing as a Green Beret paratrooper. He was employed by Saegertown Components, GTI in Hadley, and then by Vallonia Industries in Meadville.

He was a loving father and accomplished carpenter, building a family home in Cambridge Springs with the aid of several friends.? He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wine-making, and gardening, with a green thumb inherited from his mother, Cora Marie (Ziegler) Bunce, who preceded him in death. Others preceding him in death include a sister, Audrey Speck, and brother, Donald Dengle.

Family members include his life partner – Nancy Bunney; brother – David and wife, Judy Lewis of Cross, SC; brother – Rex and wife, Bonnie Lewis of Billings, MT; son – Daniel Lewis and fianc?e, Collette Formel of Troy, NY; daughter – Sherri and husband, David Wunderlich of Seattle, WA; grandson – Tim Wunderlich of Seattle, WA; former wife – Nancy (Merritt) Powell of Meadville, PA; and nieces and nephews – Randy Lewis of Salinas, CA; Jeff Lewis of Wendell, NC; Karen Hager of Meadville, PA; Joseph Speck of Boalsburg, PA; and Christi Atkinson of Cambridge Springs, PA.? His family, extended family, and many friends will remember his kindness, charismatic personality, and sense of humor.
