Kimberly Jean (Hoch) Baer, age 53, resident of Edinboro, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 unexpectedly of natural causes. Born in Union City on August 28, 1963, Kim was a daughter of Jean (Lemon) Bennett of McKean and Charles Hoch of Hamburg, NY.

Baer, KimKim was a loving mother and proud of the accomplishments of her two children. She always enjoyed spending time with them, and she also liked to read, and she loved the company of her dog, Tucker.
Over the years, Kim held several jobs, most recently working at Pounds Pet Grooming in Edinboro with her close friend, Jess Pounds. Kim also was wonderful with children and previously worked in the daycare at Edinboro University and Edinboro Elementary School.

Kim was loved by her family and her loss is greatly mourned by her daughter, Alyssa Baer of Edinboro and her boyfriend Benjamin Bauer; her son, Ryan Baer of Edinboro and his girlfriend Ashley Yongue; her mother, Jean Bennett and boyfriend Jim Stachera of McKean, and father, Charles Hoch of Hamburg, NY; three sisters, Tammy Sinkus and husband Tim of Cambridge Springs, Stephanie (Bennett) Law of Fairview and Tim Barnhart; and Jennifer Hoch of Angola, NY and Mike Barr; a brother, Kevin Hoch and wife Gena of Hamburg, NY; and many adored nieces and nephews. Kim was preceded in death by her step-father, Wallace Bennett, and step-mother, Joyce Hoch.

Friends may visit at Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 306 Erie Street, Edinboro on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Mike Priestap of McLane Church, will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Edinboro Cemetery.

Memorial donations will be accepted by the family.
