?? Evelyn M. Loop Mook died peacefully November 23, 2016 at Elmwood Gardens, Erie after a long illness. She was born October 5, 1934 to the late William and Mildred Kimmy Loop.

Evelyn graduated from Waterford Academy in 1951. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Evelyn was a member of the “Mom’s Club” of Summit Township where she enjoyed the company of many friends for many years.

Every Sunday night Evelyn cooked a wonderful meal, her specialty “roast beast”, that her whole family attended and enjoyed each other’s company. She was always ready to play a game of Shanghai Rummy or word games, and was a avid crossword puzzle solver. She loved fall rides, Christmas, and was the #1 fan of her son’s softball games.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Vance E. Mook, brother Carl Loop, and sister Inez Lawrence.

Evelyn is survived by her children– Karen (Ron) Kinnear, Darrell (Laurie) Mook, Gayle (George) Kerr, and Kevin (Brenda) Mook; her grandchildren– Laurie (Jim) Hall, Jason (Miranda) Kerr, Travis (Bekah) Mook, Aaron Mook and his fianc? Jessi Viera, and Hailey Mook; and her great-grandchildren– Wyatt and Walon Hall, Kylie and Brielle Kerr. She is further survived by a brother, Arnold (Sandy) Loop, a sister, Beverly Loop, sister-in-law Norma Loop, and several nieces and nephews, and a friend of over 60 years, Pat Soule and husband Bart.

Family and friends are invited to call at Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford on Sunday, November 27th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be there Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Rob Willert. Burial will follow in Waterford Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Northwestern PA.
