? Shirley A. (Burger) Nosko, age 89, passed away peacefully at Saint Vincent Hospital on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Born on September 17, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Park and Vada Sutton Burger of Mill Village, where she lived all her life.

Nosko, Shirley?? Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence, Norm, and Carl Burger, and also a grandson, Andrew Watson Ripley.

Shirley attended Oak Grove and New Ireland Schools. She was a life time member of the Daughters of the American Revolution as well as Secretary/Treasurer of the LeBoeuf Cemetery Association for 63 years.

Shirley married her husband, Robert M. Nosko on December 14, 1947 and recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary!

Left to mourn her loss besides her husband, are her daughters, Regina (Mike) Ripley and Heidi (Bill) Shakespeare; three grandchildren- Brigitte Ripley, Adam Ripley, and Gretchen Shakespeare; four great-grandchildren- Madison, PJ, Jasmine and Gabriel; her foster sons- Raymond and Randy Crawford; several nieces and nephews; and longtime childhood friend, Mae Brown, and a good friend, Rev. Duane Pinney.

Shirley was a homemaker all her life who really loved her husband, girls and grandkids. She was a kind and loving lady who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, January 28th at Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford from 10:00 a.m. until time of a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or to the LeBoeuf Cemetery.
