? Rose Marie Quinn Molnar of Waterford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by many loved ones on Thursday, February 23rd, 2017 at Western Reserve Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. She was born March 20th, 1935 in Johnstown, Cambria County, PA, the daughter of the late Raymond Hugh Quinn and Mary Irene Reed Quinn.
Rose Marie graduated from Greater Gallitzin Joint High School in 1953. She then attended Mount Aloysius Junior College and received an Associate of Science Degree in Pre-Medical Technology. Rose Marie also attended Robert Packer Hospital School of Medical Technology and received her Medical Technology Certification.
As a Medical Technologist, she worked at multiple hospitals including Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, Altoona Hospital in Altoona, PA and Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. Additionally, Rose Marie worked for the Carol Heintz Market Research Company for several years. She had a long career at the Fort Le Boeuf School District, Waterford Elementary School beginning as a cafeteria cashier and retiring as the head cook.
She married Michael F. Molnar on June 10th, 1961 in Patton, PA. Following their marriage they moved to Waterford, PA where they raised their family. Rose Marie spent her life caring for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and will be remembered by many for her sweet and kind nature.
Rose Marie was a longtime member of the Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Christopher M. Molnar and her sister Dorothy Quinn Pavlock. She is survived by her husband, Michael F. Molnar and children Natalie Huegel (John) of Lakeland, FL, Karen Lesser (David) of Waterford, PA, Kathleen Adams (Duane) of Erie, PA, and Julia Molnar-Bish (Randy) of Greensburg, PA. She is also survived by grandchildren Kimberly Lesser, Paul Lesser, Valerie DiMarco (Anthony), Zachary Lesser (Bobbie), Nicholas Lesser (Brittney Wilkinson), Kelly Huegel (Ryan Nott), Jennifer Duda (Michael), Molly Adams, Abby Adams, Randy Bish Jr., Nathan Bish (Tori), Caitlin Bish, Jacob Bish, and Kelly Bish.? She is additionally survived by five great-grandchildren, Kylie, Madison, Payton, Joseph, Lilly and two babies to be born soon, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford, PA 16441 on Monday, February 27th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. A Panachida service will be held there on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral of Divine Liturgy at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.? Burial will follow at Waterford Cemetery.
