Lillian Leamer Doane, age 95, of Millcreek and Waterford, passed away unexpectedly at Saint Vincent Hospital on Monday, February 6, 2017. Born March 8, 1921 in Westover, PA, Cambria County, she was a daughter of the late John W. Leamer and Laura Belle Doane, Lillian002Stahle Leamer. Lillian was one of fifteen children– Warren, James, Eugene, Thomas, Harold, Cecil, John Jr., Delmont, Raymond, Aaron, and Ralph Leamer, Mae Baum and Gertrude Westover, and brother Quintly Leamer and his wife Louise of Ripley, NY, the last living sibling.

In addition to her siblings, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Alfred Muir and Dale Doane; two sons, Howard Schrock of Burton, SC, and William Schrock of Emeigh, PA; son-in-law, Art Cochran of Huachuca City, AZ; granddaughters Brenda Cochran of Huachuca City and Renee’ Reinwald-Jenks of Erie; an infant great-great-granddaughter Gabby McGrady Griffin; and a granddaughter-in-law Brenda Schrock of Leola, PA.

She is survived by her daughters, Irena Reinwald and husband Dick of Waterford, and Mable Cochran of Huachuca City, AZ; daughters-in-law Chizuka Schrock of Burton, SC and Annabell Schrock of Emeigh, PA; and sisters-in-law Francis Leamer of Sebring, FL and Erma Leamer of Clymer, NY. She is further survived by 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews from all over the country.

For years, Lillian lived in Millcreek Township, then Okeechobee, FL for many years, and then in Waterford, living with her daughter and son-in-law, Irena and Dick Reinwald. While living in Erie, she worked at The Boston Store for 37 years before retiring. In Florida, Lillian was honored for her volunteer service with several organizations, including the American Red Cross, TOPS, the local hospital auxiliary, and the local election board, and she was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Calling hours will be at Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at which time a service will be officiated by Rev. Gary Donaldson of Asbury Methodist Church in Waterford. Burial will be in East Ridge Cemetery, Clearfield County, PA.
