? Duane Phillip Woolstrum, age 74, passed away at his residence, 31900 Stanford Road, Cambridge Springs, PA on Monday, May 1, 2017 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Duane was born on August 25, 1942 in Meadville, PA a son of the late Charles Rodney Woolstrum and Marie Woolstrum (nee’ Rodemaker).

Following his graduation from Cambridge Springs High School, Duane worked at Carnation Company in Cambridge Springs for 10 years and then began a 34 year career with Lord Corporation in Cambridge Springs as a press operator, retiring in 2008. Duane was a member of Faith Bible Church in Union City where he enjoyed singing hymns with his church family. Duane was an outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening, photography, and? training his Llewellin setters, Beau and Mosey.? He was an avid hunter and fly fisherman who tied his own flies. Duane had a great sense of humor who cared and nurtured his family- his treasured wife, and three daughters.

Duane was preceded in death by a sister – Maybelle Brown and two brothers – Rodney Woolstrum and David Woolstrum. He is survived in addition to his wife, Loretta Sherred Woolstrum whom he married on May 22, 1982, by three daughters – Lisa Woolstrum and her son, Grayson of Greensboro, NC; Christine Nunn and her husband, Trent and their two children – Tristan and Cadence all of Port Allegany, PA; and Karen Woolstrum and her husband, Marco Fazzari of Pittsburgh; and by a sister -Wanda Boyd and her husband, Donald of Waterford.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Wednesday, May 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral services will be held there on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Trevor Brubaker of Faith Bible Church in Union City, officiating. Interment will be in Venango Cemetery.
