Austin Jerrold Humes, age 20, resident of 24628 Cherry Hill Road, Cambridge Springs, PA, died on Sunday, June 11, 2017 following a motorcycle vehicular accident occurring on Millers Station Road near Pinewoods Road, Rockdale Township, Cambridge Springs, PA. Born in Meadville, PA on December 11, 1996, Austin was a son of Jerrold Bradley Humes and Kelly Bartosek Humes.
????? Following his graduation from Cambridge Springs Hugh School in 2015, Austin worked for Bausch Service Station in Cambridge Springs for three years before beginning work at Edinboro Sewage Plant as a technician. Known for his smiles and easy nature with his many friends, Austin enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding bikes, and working on his truck.
Surviving Austin in addition to his father and mother with whom he made his home, is his maternal grandmother – Christine Gilbraith of Cambridge Springs; his paternal grand-parents – Victor and Linda Humes of Edinboro; his brother – Mitchell Humes also living at home. Also surviving Austin is the love of his life, soon to be married,? Ashleigh Scott of Cambridge Springs.
Friends may call at Draketown Christian Church, 12460 Draketown Road, Edinboro on Wednesday, June 14th from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held directly following visitation at Draketown Cemetery with pastors Ron Kennedy and Daryl Myer officiating.
I am so sorry for this terrible loss. Austin was always so personable and friendly while he worked at Baucsh’s. His parents has to be so proud of the young man that he had grown into. My sympathies to all the family, friends and loved ones. Also to our community for the loss of such a fine young man. Prayers for strength during this trying time.
