David John Gallant, age 59, resident of Geneva, Ohio and formerly of Edinboro, PA passed away at Chardon Health Care Center, Chardon, Ohio on Thursday, September 21, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Born in Erie, PA, David was a son of the late John Daniel Gallant and Helen Dzvonyicsak Gallant.

David graduated from General McLane High School in 1976. He was a welder by trade and for the past 23 years was employed by Metal Fabricators in Mentor, Ohio.

Survivors of David include two brothers – John Gallant, Jr. and his wife, Pam of Clayton, NC and Douglas Gallant and his wife, Diana of Cambridge Springs. Additionally, he is survived by two nephews – Jacob Gallant and Matthew Gallant and his wife, Lorin and a niece – Kaitlyn Gallant.

Friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 5-7 at the Van Matre Funeral Home, 306 Erie Street, Edinboro, PA and also to attend funeral services there on Tuesday, September 26th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Saint James Cemetery, Crossingville.
