Clara Jane Yaiko-Rea, age 89, entered her heavenly life Friday morning September 8, 2017 at Corry Manor Nursing Home. She was the widow of Pastor Lewis Bradley Rea, who passed away February 7, 1985.

Clara was born March 25, 1928 in French Creek, NY, daughter of the late Walter and Anna Kasprzak-Yaiko. She graduated from Clymer Central High School, Clymer, NY and lived most of her life in Meadville, PA. She was a nursing assistant and retired from North Park Manor and Westbury Nursing Home of Meadville. She also was a licensed real estate sales person for Strout Realty in Cranesville and Guys Mills.

Clara and her husband Lewis B. Rea founded and served at the Cranesville Bible Church and the Cranesville Christian Academy from 1964 to 1979. She was a member of the New Beginnings Church of God in Meadville, and she enjoyed gardening, word puzzles, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Clara was preceded in death by two sisters, Bridgette Zabrowski and Nancy Engel, both of Erie; a brother, Thomas Yaiko of Clymer, NY; and a daughter-in-law, Marjorie Rea of Catawba, VA.
Survivors include two sons, Terry L. Rea and wife Nancy of Girard, PA and Nicholas Paul Rea of Catawba, VA; her brother, Leonard Yaiko of Quincy, IL; two sisters, Dorothy Gronosta of Union City and Sally Hajec of Corry; her grandchildren–Mathew L. Rea and wife Sue of Edinboro, Mark T. Rea and wife Catherine of Townville, Nicole K. Haibach of Littleton, CO, Jeffrey P. Rea and wife Michael Ann of Washington D.C., Kristin A. Bryan of Virginia and Jennifer L. Sweeney and husband Tracy, also of Virginia, and Nicole L. Rea and husband Jeffrey Swaim of North Carolina; and her great-grandchildren– Cerianne Rea, Melyssa Rea, Kelci Rea, Alexandria Bula, Collin Bula, Kaylee Rea, Benjamin Rea, Tristan Haibach, Makayla Haibach, Emily Ann Bryan, Morgan Rea Bryan, Austin Sweeney, Chyenne Sweeney, Julie Swaim Camp, Kelly Elizabeth Swaim, and Addison Rea Swaim.

Friends and family may call at Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 306 Erie Street, Edinboro on Friday from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. and may attend the funeral service which follows at 5:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Priestap of McLane Church. Burial will be in Venango Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
