? Leonard E. Terrill, age 86, of Edinboro, died Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville after a nine-year battle with Alzheimer’s.
Born in Pont, PA on May 31, 1931, he was a son of the late Plira and Emma Dunbar Terrill. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Blane, his first wife Ruby Dersch Terrill, his brother Ralph Terrill, his sister Joyce Mattson, and his granddaughter Cassie Terrill.
Leonard is survived by his second wife of 32 years, Roberta Lewis Terrill; his son, Wayne (Bonnie) Terrill; two daughters, Denise Stockton and Rita Niedzielski; a brother, Harlan (Shirley) Terrill; his step-children, Pam Dickey, Brenda Renfro, Missy Renfro, and Doug Renfro; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leonard worked at General Electric and worked and retired from Zurn Energy Division (formerly Erie City Iron Works) after 41 years. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and short weekend trips to different places with his wife. He had many friends whom he enjoyed visiting with at McDonald’s.
Friends and family may call at Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 306 Erie Street, Edinboro on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Samuel Marchetta, chaplain at Wesbury, officiating. Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
