William Paul Lenox, age 88, resident of 21085 Teepleville Flats Road, Cambridge Springs, Pa, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville, PA.? Bill was born on August 13, 1930 in Rockdale Township son of the late Paul Lewis Lenox and Lula Grace Willey Lenox. He married Jane Pauline Smith on October 13, 1956 and she survives.

Lenox William039????? Bill graduated from Cambridge Springs High School in 1948. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 until 1955 and in the reserves from 1955 until 1959. He worked at the family business, Smiths American Hardware from 1961 until purchasing the business in 1983. He continued working there until retiring in 1998. A long time member of the United Methodist Church, he belonged to the Brown Hill UMC, Teepleville UMC, and Woodcock UMC. Bill enjoyed raising beef cattle and gardening, was an avid hunter and fisherman, Kiwanis Club member and? Rockdale Grange member . Bill was a loving, caring father who treasured his family and the many family gatherings and activities.

Bill was preceded in death by a granddaughter – Ashley Lenox, a sister – Ruth Smith, a brother-in-law Ralph Smith and a niece, Julie Livermore. In addition to his wife, Jane, Bill is survived by three sons – Michael P. Lenox and his wife, Diane of Woodville, AL; Rev. J. Patrick Lenox and his wife, Grace of Kane, PA; Stephen P. Lenox of Durham, NC; two daughters – Deborah L. Miller and her husband, Rod of Cambridge Springs and Nana P. Gilbert of Cambridge Springs. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren – Bryan Neiman, Kevin Neiman, Elizabeth Redfern, Rebecca Burrington, William Jacob Lenox, Caleb Lenox, Nicholas Lenox, Isaac Lenox, Meredith Lenox, Madison Lenox, Bethany Lenox, Nicole Lenox, Natasha Lenox, Alexandria Miller, Josiah Lenox, Tyler Gilbert, and Abigail Miller; 8 great grandchildren – Haley Neiman, Alyssa Neiman, Savannah Nieman; Taylor Nieman, Madeline Redfern; Spencer Neiman; Moriah Lenox; and Nash Redfern. He is also survived by numerous foster children.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Saturday, August 18th from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 4:00 at Barco Chapel,? Wesbury, officiated by Reverend Dale Livermore and Reverend Chris Livermore. Interment will be in Millers Station Cemetery.
