Michael Hugh Milligan, 68, of Venango, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on August 12, 2018. He was born on November 6, 1949, the son of George William Milligan and Rose Lucille Fisher Milligan. He graduated from Strong Vincent High School with the class of 1969. After graduating, Mike worked for many years as a heating and air-Milligan, Michael038conditioning technician in Texas before moving back to the area where he worked as a builder with his brother, Ed for several years. He married Barbara Helen Bostaph on November 26, 1980. In 1985, he began working for Greenleaf Corporation in Saegertown until his retirement in 2012. Mike was a great story teller who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing and spending time with his family

He was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma J. Bowersox; sister, Mary E. Taylor; brother, George F. Milligan; grandson, Michael Roy Milligan in 1992.

Barbara Helen Bostaph; his son, Michael Hugh Milligan II and his wife, Holly of Titusville; son, Abraham Michael Milligan and his wife, Kasanda of Painesville, OH; son Matthew Charles Milligan and his wife Jennifer of Cambridge Springs; granddaughter, Sheryl Horn and her husband, Scott; grandson, Logan Dodson; grandson, Alex Milligan; granddaughter Ericka Davis and her husband, Terrance; granddaughter, Brittany Milligan and Montana Brenizer; granddaughter, Erica Allen; granddaughter Katie Allen and Trey Marin; granddaughter, Shelby Boyle; great grandson, David Horn; great granddaughter, Aubrie Brenizer; brother, Edward Milligan and his wife, Lyda of Cambridge Springs; brother, Neil Milligan and his wife, Patti of McKean; additional survivors include sister-in-laws: Rebecca Wickware of Mill Village; Mary Geiger and her husband, Dave of Erie; Margaret Hutzelman and her husband, Stephen of Erie; Patricia Stephens of Erie; Theresa Vickey and her husband, Bruce of Charlotte, NC; Ann Mahler and her husband, William of Erie; and Judith Rautine and her husband, Philip of Memphis, TN; brothers-in-laws: Donald Bostaph and Kenneth Blood of McKean; and Anthony Bostaph and his wife, Stacey, of Erie; dear friends, Dale and Renee Atkin; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Wednesday, August 15, from 2-4 and 6-8. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Cambridge Springs with the Reverend Father Mark Nowak as celebrant. Interment will be at Venango Cemetery.
