Ronald K. Schrubb, age 86, of Lebanon, OH, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 2, 2018, surrounded by his family.?Ron was born in Meadville on August 29, 1931, the son of the late Kenneth Schrubb and Martha Hutchens Schrubb. He graduated from Cambridge Springs High School with the class of 1949, and attended Alliance College graduating with a degree in mechSchrubb, Ron pic (2)anical engineering. He began his career as an engineer working for General Electric in 1967 until his retirement in 1992. Ron was a member of Wayne Park Baptist Church where he served for many years as Sunday school superintendent, sang in the church choir, and bowled with the church?s bowling league.? He was a Lions Club member and served in the U.S. Navy Reserve from 1949 to 1974. After his retirement, Ron moved to Tucson AZ, and was active singing with the?local barbershop chorus and serving on its board.

In 1987, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mona Lee Flaugh Schrubb, whom he married on April 9, 1955.

He is survived by daughters: Ronalee Schrubb Yost of Charlotte, NC; and Robyn Schrubb Munn and her husband, Bill of Hendersonville, TN; seven grandchildren: grandson, Kurt Yost and his wife, Emily of South Bend, IN; grandson, Jordan Yost of New York City; granddaughter, Danielle Yost Little and her husband, Stephen of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Amy Munn Zimba and her husband, Christopher Zimba of Kitwe, Zambia; granddaughter, Ashley Munn of Hendersonville, TN; grandson, Andrew Munn of Hendersonville, TN; and grandson, Austin Munn of Kathmandu, Nepal; one great granddaughter, Amelia M. Yost; and longtime companion, Lucy Fuleki.

Friends are invited to call at the Van Matre Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Monday, August 6, from 1-3 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. with the Reverend Rod Beardsley officiating. Interment will be at Millers Station Cemetery.
