Alan “Lumpy” Moses, age 66, of Cambridge Springs passed away unexpectedly at Meadville Medical Center on February 1, 2019. Alan was born in Meadville on December 24, 1952, son of Archie F. Moses and Evelyn L. Goldsmith Moses. For over twenty-five years, he worked paving roads for IA Construction and then for Russell Standard in Union City, retiring in 1996. He spent his lifetime as a farmer who enjoyed coon hunting, playing euchre, maintaining his John Deere tractors, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Ann Moses of Cambridge Springs; his son, Derek S. Moses and his wife, Lori of Saegertown and their children: Richard Trypus and his wife, Heather, Robert Trypus and his wife, Megan, Brianna Moses, and Devin Moses; his daughter, Tamra K. Boylan and her husband, Christopher of Cambridge Springs and their children: Zachary Boylan, Garrett Boylan, and Emily Boylan; three great grandchildren; and his sister, Karen Coulter of Meadville.

Friends may call at the Van Matre Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Monday, February 4 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service to be held there on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Callender officiating. Interment will be in Venango Cemetery.
