Edith Madelyn Lilly Taylor, 85, of Saegertown passed away at her home on Friday, May 31, 2019, after a period of declining health. Edith was born in Woodcock Township on April 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Albert Lilly and Josephine Pearl Landrum Lilly. Edith graduated with the Saegertown High School Class of 1952, and on June 5, 1952, she married Arden Dewey Taylor. For over 20 years she worked at Oneida Electronics in Meadville. Edith was a homemaker who thoroughly loved and nurtured her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Taylor on September 2, 1999; her two sisters, Doris Hunter and Beverley Hunter; brother, Richard Lilly; half-brother, David Leonhart; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Lilly and Mary Jane Leonhart.
Survivors include sister, Marian Smith of Lakeland, Fl; brother, Alton “Bill” Lilly of Cambridge Springs; half-brother, George “Butch” Leonhart of Radcliff, KY; half-sister, Sara Courtney and her husband, John of Lake City, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Sunday, June 2, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service to be held there on Monday, June 3 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Venango Cemetery.
