Duane Perry Eastman, 87, of Saegertown, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 5, 2020. Duane was born in McLane on April 8, 1933, the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt Eastman and Nellie May Wright Eastman. He married Marie Elsie Chilcote on June 11, 1955, and she preceded him in death on January 11, 1991. Duane entered the National Guard in 1951 and served actively in Germany from 1952 to 1953. He worked for Zurn Industries in Erie for over 38 years, retiring in 1994.
In addition to his wife Marie, he was also preceded in death by daughter, Jenny McCune; grandson, Mackenzie Theodore Eastman in 1978; brothers, Robert and Donald Eastman; and son-in-law, Frank C. Kamper, Sr.
Survivors include son, Chris Allen Chilcote of Meadville; son, Randy Eastman and his wife, Darlene of Erie; daughter, Cheryl Kamper of Spartansburg; son, James Eastman of Mill Village; granddaughter, Selissa Chapman; granddaughter, Denise Long; granddaughter, Terra Cass; grandson, Robert Eastman; grandson, Joey McCune, Jr.; granddaughter, Jasmine McCune; grandson, Christopher Eastman; grandson, Matthew Eastman; grandson, Zachary Eastman; brother, Gail Eastman and his wife, Maureen of Conneaut, OH; companion, Pat Slayton of Saegertown; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at Van Matre Funeral Home, 335 Venango Avenue, Cambridge Springs.
