Martha J. Malinowski, age 83, of Waterford, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Saint Vincent Hospital. She was born on July 10, 1937 to the late Walter Wedzikowski and Josephine Wieczorek Wedzikowski Harris.
Martha was born in Erie, graduated from St. Stan’s Elementary School, and Academy High School in 1955. Martha counted her blessings and was always grateful. She loved and adored the Blessed Mother, God, and Jesus. Every day she intentionally prayed. She lived her life working hard in equal partnership with her husband of 63 years. Family was of utmost importance to her. Creating festive celebrations and home-cooked meals was her forté.
She was classy, cute, sunny, and kind, always wearing a smile and a twinkle in her eye. She spread light and made friends easily. She was filled with gratitude and love. She valued pride of country, morals, and truth. She and her husband were generous to those in need, especially relatives. Above all, Martha was patient. She will wear an eternal crown.

So sorry to hear of Martha’s passing. As a kid living across the street from the beer distributor, occasionally I would pop over to see her and Louie and they were always so kind and welcoming. Also lots of memories of them at our house, as they were friends with my parents (Ken and Joyce Brunner). My condolences to all of her family.
Sending love and support from Canada to you all.
Martha has always been grace personified and her example to me of compassion and patience in my early years was a gift beyond explanation or measure.
When I count my blessings in life, I count knowing Martha twice.
We all have something to learn from Martha. Her quiet, humble, strength was not always easy for me to understand or to emulate. She never forced or pushed her view, just demonstrated her unshakeable faith through her actions.
I love you Martha and wish you a peaceful journey.
dearest Martha was an angel on earth so her transition to heaven would have been seamless… a nod to her exceptional sewing skills. She was a extraordinarly special person to my mom (her Aunt Cassie) and therefore became very special to me and my sister, Glady. My thoughts on that closeness is that dearest Martha had a similar demeanor to her Dad (Uncle Walter).
Heartfelt love is being sent to all of you, my dear cousins. Just imagine the way Martha held your hand…I know I am.
Aunt Martha – You welcomed me into the family with open arms and I will never forget that. To say that you were a kind soul…and kindred spirit is an understatement. You will be deeply missed by your family and loved ones. I’m so thankful that we got to see you just a couple weeks ago. Love, Dori
Whoever wrote Martha’s obituary did a masterful job in describing her many attributes…I worked with Martha briefly through county summer work program but even in that limited amount of time it was glaringly obvious she was indeed SPECIAL… yes indeed “classy, cute,SUNNY and KIND…. Her PATIENCE was unequalled . My sympathies to the family but eventually you will find PEACE knowing you were fortunate to have been in her presence for 83 years… her memory and the differences she made will live on
Wishing you peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love through this difficult time. She was a special lady who meant the world to me. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
To my dear friend, Robin, and to all the Malinowski family, I send my deepest sympathy. I regret that I never had the chance to meet Martha, having heard so many wonderful things about her through the years. I know how much she will be missed. Praying for your peace and comfort during this very sad time of loss.
