Edwin Michael Yucha, Sr, 95, of Cambridge Springs passed away on February 1, 2021, at Meadville Medical Center. Ed was born in Pittsfield, PA on September 10, 1925, the son of the late John Yucha and Frances Keller Yucha. He married Donna E. Miller on September 27, 1952. Ed was a kind-hearted, mild-mannered man who lived a simple life. He was a dedicated, hardworking, passionate farmer, who took pride in managing his family land. When he was able, he would always be found in the barn taking care of his animals or out in the field watching over his crops. Ed was proud of his vegetable crop and would sell produce to many local stores and restaurants.
He was a caring father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved providing and giving his family the life they deserved. His wish was to live at home until the very end and his beloved son, Jack has been his caregiver for the last thirteen years so that wish could be fulfilled. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Yucha in 2012; brothers, John and Frank Yucha; and sister Isabelle Householder.
Survivors include son, Edwin Yucha and his wife, Beverly of Cambridge Springs; daughter, Teresa Yucha Bidwell and her husband, Dan of Saegertown; son, Jack Yucha of Cambridge Springs; grandson, Mike Yucha; grandson, Aaron Yucha; grandson, Tyler Bidwell and his wife, Kaitlin; grandson, Derek Bidwell and his wife, Chantal; grandson, Steven Yucha and his wife, Shawna; grandson, Eric Yucha and his wife, Lauren; several great grandchildren including: Michael Lyle-Yucha, Sawyer and Camryn Bidwell, and Brantley and Bennett Bidwell.
Friends may call at the Van Matre Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Thursday, February 4, from 10-11 am. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anthonys Catholic Church of Padua, Cambridge Springs at 11 a.m. with the Rev Fr. Mark Nowak as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mitchell Cemetery.
