Gary A. Denning, age 59, of Cranesville, died Friday, March 12, 2021 at UPMC Hamot surrounded by his family. Gary was born in El Paso, TX on January 21, 1962 to the late Donald and Geraldine Herrick Denning. He attended General McLane Schools and worked for local landscapers and for Jim Brozell Construction for several years before starting his own business, Denning Landscaping. For over 20 years, he served many clients in northwest PA, primarily in Edinboro and Albion, and earned a good reputation for his hard work.
Gary enjoyed many activities in life: watching western movies, baseball, and NASCAR, being outdoors and hunting and fishing, riding his 4-wheeler in the woods, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Family members that preceded him in death include his parents; brothers Daniel and Donald Denning; half-sister Sharon Peters and half-brother Dave Yellowhorse; his father-in-law Wilbur Goldsby, and brother-in-law Matthew Goldsby.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Pamela Marie Goldsby Denning; his children- Tom “TJ” Denning, Scott Denning, Jarad Denning (Kaitlyn), and Kevin Denning; his grandchildren- Logan, Mackenzie, Danielle, Brooks, Ella, Garrett, and Delaney; brothers-in-law Eugene Goldsby (Michele) and Mike Goldsby; a niece Amanda, and nephew Nolan; and his many close friends.
Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home in Edinboro on Tuesday from 3 – 5 p.m. A private funeral service, officiated by Pastor Mike Priestap of McLane Church, will follow.
So sorry Gary was my foster brother and someone I cared about was always there to help me out he was a good man a good father and a good friend
Very sorry to hear. I worked with Gary at Brozell’s for a while. He was always a hard worker and I had a lot of respect for him. I’m sure you don’t remember me Pam, but prayers to you and the family.
