James (Jim) Dow Pellegrino passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2021. He was 63 years old.

Jim was a graduate from McDowell High School in 1977. He had an Electrical Degree, and had worked several jobs including St. Vincent Hospital for 10 years. He started an electrical business, “Dow Electric” and worked at that business until his employment with Crawford County Career and Technical School as a maintenance supervisor.

Jim was a devoted son and had a dedicated catholic faith. He loved outdoor activities, gathering firewood, hunting, and long walks in the woods. One of his favorite activities was taking road-trips on his Harley with his wife and friends.

He was an avid Euchre player- he loved to play every chance he got. He really looked forward to fishing trips with his daughter Lauren in Vermont and always found time to help his son Doc enjoy his favorite games and activities (such as dressing up like any character).

He was known by everyone as a kind, loving person who would do anything for anyone. He was out-going and loved making new friends. He was a dedicated and loving husband. He also loved his kids, grandkids, extended family, and friends. He lived and loved life to the fullest.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother Jean Anne Dow Pellegrino and father James Paul Pellegrino.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barb Pellegrino; daughter, Lauren Pellegrino; son, James (Doc) Pellegrino; step-daughters, Jennifer Hawkins and Desirée Hannigan; sisters, Marla Pellegrino and Sue Cohen; many cousins, grandchildren and close friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home in Edinboro on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. A private service officiated by Rev. James Kennelley will be held for the family, and burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Crossingville.
