Phyllis Elizabeth Pattison, age 95, of Union City, died Thursday, January 6, 2022. She was born in Union City on June 21, 1926 to Dewitt and Lena Blanchard Ward. She married Carlton Vance Pattison on January 15, 1945. After 66 happy years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 2011.

Phyllis lived a generous and hospitable life. A natural homemaker, she was always sociable and fun-loving. She enjoyed her family and her community, and made many happy memories with those she loved, finding time for playing cards every evening and spending summers around the swimming pool. Phyllis loved the Lord and served him all her life. She was a longtime, active member of Parade Street United Methodist Church of Union City, and a past member of the Union City Grange.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Ricky Earl Pattison, who died in 1972; a great-granddaughter, Khloe Rhonda Jo Salzillo; and 8 siblings – Barbara Obert, Rachel Laughery, Harriett Owens, Bud Ward, Robert Ward, Charles Ward, Beth Albert and Gordon Ward.

She is survived by her family, including a son – Terry Pattison and his wife Aleta; and two daughters – Christine Bearce and her husband LeRoy, and Natalie Lent, all of Union City; four grandchildren – Darcy Pattison, Trudi Kaster and her husband Steven, Rikki Leigh Spencer, and Stephen McDonald; and 4 great-grandchildren – Ruhgar, Rubie, Hurlee and Diamond.

Friends may call at the Parade Street United Methodist Church in Union City on Monday from 4-7 pm and attend a funeral service there on Tuesday at 11 am. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery.
