Doris Marie Wisniewski, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her family farm in Waterford, PA. She was born on March 1, 1933, the daughter of Arthur Beers and Grace Carpenter. With her husband of 60 years, Albert K. “Cherry” Wisniewski, Doris raised seven daughters and touched the lives of countless others over the years as she worked at Dog ‘n Suds and Super Duper in Waterford, where all knew her as “Mrs. Wizz”.

She was the matriarch of her family continuing to nurture her 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, she instilled in them a love of family, respect for animals, and the importance of stewardship of the land that sustained them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; her grandchildren- Lisa Baughman, Sarah, Mathew, and Haley Hess, Michael and Erin Lynn Crotty; great-grandson Alistair Ruefman; sons-in-law Larry Smith and Miles Glover; and her brothers and sisters, Robert, Alvin, Alfred, Alfreda, and Leona.

She is survived by her daughters: Theresa Glover, Cecelia Baughman, Antoinette (David) Biebel, Alberta Smith, Jeanette (Arnold) Hess, Corrine (Robert) Snyder, and Barbara (David) Crotty; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Shumaker-Welker; special friend Brenda (Robert) Weber; and her puppy, Skippy.

The family would like to thank her wonderful hospice staff: Kim, Stacy, Kathleen, James, Christina, Melanie, Melissa, and Tom.

A “Celebration of Life Luncheon” will be held Tuesday, August 2nd from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Stancliff Hose Company, 328 High Street, Waterford, PA 16441.
