On Friday, August 12, 2022, surrounded in love by her adoring husband, children, and numerous other family members, Mary Elizabeth Conway, age 67, of Waterford, passed on to walk in paradise. She was born on October 9, 1954 to Arnold W. Garver and Alice P. Stauffer Garver of Dubois, PA.

Mary made an impact in the community of Waterford and within her church family at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She spent many years working home healthcare giving her time and love to help those in need. She loved to garden, watch the humming birds play tag, throw a few bucks in the slot machines, play Yahtzee, her two long islands at date night every Wednesday, cook/bake for those she loved, and she always had an open door policy. Mary cherished every moment that she could spend with her beloved husband, sisters, children, and especially her grand babies and great grandchildren. She was lovingly known as “crazy Aunt Mary” and “Gmary”!
Preceding her in death were her parents and two nephews, Robert Dana Warren and Ryan Wells. She is survived by her husband John M. Conway; children- Robert Callahan and wife Stacey, Andrew Callahan and wife Marcie, Chris Young and wife Nicole, and Michele Conway; three sisters- Sally Lanagan and husband Dan, Terry O’Neil and husband Tim, and Cindy Kuzma and husband Gary; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 28th at 2:00 pm at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Waterford with a wake to follow.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful team of Aseracare Hospice workers and nurses for their help in keeping Mary comfortable at home during her final days. As she always said, laughter is the best medicine.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Marks Lutheran Church of Waterford, PA.
