Cecelia Grace (Wisniewski) Baughman left this life on September 16, 2022 in the MICU at UMPC Hamot, following a sudden illness. Born December 11, 1955, she was the second of seven daughters born to Albert K. “Cherry” and Doris Marie (Beers) Wisniewski of Waterford, Pennsylvania. A 1974 graduate of Fort LeBoeuf High School, Cecelia married in 1975 and raised two children, Daniel Lee, and Lisa Marie Baughman.

Much like a saint with a similar name (St. Cecilia), she loved music and sang as part of the church choir with her children at St. Cyprian’s Roman Catholic Church (now All Saints). She cultivated a similar passion in her children, each of whom learned to play multiple instruments, and she was an avid supporter of Fort LeBoeuf Marching Band as a band parent, often assuming the role of a second mom for many of the students over the years.
In addition to role as a homemaker, she worked at Mrs. Bigwood’s creating floral arrangements and teaching crafting lessons to children. She was active as a scout parent, enjoyed camping and bird watching, and loved dearly the children whose lives she impacted over the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Albert; daughter Lisa; grandson Alistair; brothers-in-law, Larry Smith and Miles Glover; nephews and nieces, Brian Welch, Sarah, Mathew, and Haley Hess, Michael and Erin Lynn Crotty.
Cecelia is survived by her son, Daniel; grandchildren, Titus, Quinton, and Zelena; honorary daughter, Jessica Craig; sisters- Theresa Glover, Antionette (David) Biebel, Alberta Smith, Jeanette (Arnold) Hess, Corrine (Robert) Snyder, and Barbara (David) Crotty; 14 nieces and nephews; and 14 great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford on Tuesday from 4-6 pm with the funeral service following at 6:00 pm.

So sorry for your loss. She was a lovely person…always with a smile.
I am so sorry Daniel to hear of your mom’s passing. I always enjoyed working with Cecelia for PTO events at Waterford Elementary. She was in charge of the Christmas Shopping event. She was always happy and willing to help. When I seen her at The Cracker Barrel, she would always tell me how proud she was of both Lisa & Daniel. Your mom was like at Saint! She was always ready to help anyone.
I’m so sorry to hear about Cecelia’s passing. Hugs and prayers to her family.
