V. Raymond Burger, age 93, of Waterford, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, September 24, 2022. He was born in Mill Village on September 29, 1928 to Earl and Ruth Boyd Burger. He married Donna Maxine Willis Burger who preceded him in death on November 2, 2015. Ray retired from Hammermill Paper Co.
Family members include his son, Daniel R. Burger and wife Judy of Cambridge Springs; three grandchildren- Daniel Y. Burger, Charity R. Burger, and Chelsea M. Pappas; and three great-grandchildren- Rayleigh, Zoe and Bella.
Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford on Thursday evening from 6 – 7 pm. Burial will be in Mill Village Cemetery.
To the Burger family , I worked with Ray at Hammermill and have many great memories of him . One of them is when he would go to Nashville on vacation and come back singing “The Wabash Cannonball ” . Will miss him greatly . Chet Malinski
Dan and Family, your dad will be greatly missed! I would see him many times getting mail in Waterford at the P.O. At Edinboro manor we would visit while seeing friends and relatives and Ray seeing your Mom, Donna! My Mom Charline and Dad Ed were always happy to see your dad and mom at Log Cabin, they were great friends! All of us have great memories and had great times knowing Ray Many blessings to Ray and your family!
