Sharon Lee Cooper, 76, of Cambridge Springs passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Rolling Fields Elder Care Community. Sharon was born in Corry, PA on February 16, 1946, daughter of the late Guy Hayes and Irene Buetikofer Hayes. She graduated from Clymer Central High School and worked as a customer service representative for Renshaw, Hart, Grab and McConahy, Inc of Erie. After retiring in 2010, she worked for the Cambridge Springs library and other libraries in Crawford County. Sharon was a volunteer for CAVAS, House of Hope, and other local organizations. She loved being with children and enjoyed meeting and helping new people, walking her dog Miss Lady, listening to country music, reading mystery and thriller novels, traveling to the southwest with John, and supporting Native American communities and colleges.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Shirley Hayes.
Survivors include daughter, Kristina Sue Cooper Rapchick and her husband, Mark of Erie; son, Thomas C. Cooper, Jr. and his fiancé, Melissa Delacruz of Steubenville, OH; daughter-in-law, Tammy Cooper; grandchildren Joshua, Kyle, Mitchell, Ryan, Katie and Spencer Cooper; several great grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Motherwell and her husband, Dennis Knapp of Ashtabula, OH; sister, Christine Pugh of Buffalo; sister, Bonnie Ellis of Jamestown, NY; brother, Ronald Hayes of Westfield, NY; and her partner, John Lane of Cambridge Springs.
Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home in Cambridge Springs on Tuesday, October 4 from 10 am until time of funeral service at 11 am with Rev. Larry Peters of the Cambridge Springs Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Cambridge Cemetery.
My condolences to your family. Sharon was a bright, lovely woman. She worked for us at the library and was a fellow member of the woman’s club. We miss her enthusiasm and her generous spirit.
