Aleta Lynn Pattison passed on to Heaven on September 10, 2022 after a 3-year fight with cancer. She was the youngest daughter of Gerald and Anna Belle Northrup Edward. Aleta married Terry Pattison in 1972, and they just recently celebrated their 50th anniversary which was a big goal for Aleta. They had one beautiful daughter, Darcy Pattison, who Aleta helped raise while being a farm wife.

Aleta is survived by two brothers, Dale Edward (Joyce) and Duane Edward; and three sisters, Eileen Watson, Elaine Hanks, and Ellen Burrows. She has many nieces and nephews, and great- nieces and nephews, all whom she loved. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Natalie Lent and Christine Bearce (Gene) and their families, who were all very involved in Aleta’s life up to her passing.

Aleta was a hard worker in the house and on the farm. She milked cows, carried maple sap, handled bales of hay, and worked in the garden, plus getting the housework done. She had a role in several United Methodist Churches. Aleta looked forward to church every Sunday, not even missing when very sick with cancer.

Aleta loved to dance and was a very good square dance partner. She liked to travel, having been all over Eastern United States, Europe and South America several times, and she even lived in Argentina for awhile.

Visiting hours and funeral will be held at Riceville United Methodist Church on Tuesday evening, Sept. 13th from 7-9 pm, and then on Wednesday, Sept. 14th from 1:00 until time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm. A funeral dinner will follow at Centerville United Methodist Church on Rt. 8. Burial will be private at Union Cemetery on Old Meadville Road.
