Charles William Humes, 73, of Cambridge Springs passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Edinboro Manor. Charles was born on August 1, 1949, in Meadville the son of the late Raymond Humes and Ruth Kelly Humes. Chuck was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the U.S. Army from 1967-1969.  On May 23, 1970, he married Janet Sue Glenn.  He was employed at Penn Union, ZURN Industries, Cambridge Springs Boro, and retired in 1994 after seventeen years at Riverside Golf Course. He was a NASCAR fan and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting with his coon dogs, trapping and fishing.

 He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Megan Marie Humes, in 2020.

      Survivors include wife, Janet Humes of Cambridge Springs; son, Tim Humes and his wife, Lisa of Cambridge Springs; daughter, Tammy Green and her husband, Mark of Springboro; daughter, Tina Johnson and her husband, Scott of Wattsburg; grandchildren, Amber, Shelby, Kaitlyn, Nickolas, and Ryan; great grandchildren: Grace, Briar, and Brynnley; sister, Pearl Peters of Edinboro; and brother, Victor Humes and his wife Linda, of Edinboro.       

Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs on Thursday, December 22, from 10-2 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm with interment at Cambridge Cemetery.
