Alfred Paul Price, 69, of Woodcock went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Alfred was born in Meadville on October 24, 1953, the son of the late Arthur John Price, Sr. and Betty Mae Holcomb Price. After graduating from Saegertown High School with the class of 1972, he served in the US Army for three years. On June 26, 1982, Alfred married Lorraine Rust. He was employed by Meadville Forge for thirty-eight years retiring in 2017. Alfred loved life and basked in the beauty of the outdoors, whether in the woods in his tree stand, on a tractor farming, or taking care of his animals. He loved tending his abundant vegetable gardens and flower beds. He cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, Harpie and Beau Beau. He delighted in worshiping and serving at the Woodcock United Methodist Church. His love for the Lord shone through him to everyone he knew. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife of forty years, Lorraine Price of Woodcock; son, Drew Tyler Price of Woodcock; daughter, Mariah Mae Ray and her husband, Josh of Saegertown; son, Ian Paul Price of Woodcock; granddaughter, Harper Mae Ray; grandson, Beau Armor Ray; sister, Kathy Brown and her husband, Rich; brother, Arthur Price, Jr and his wife, Jolane; brother, Walter Price and his wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Heather Bress; and sister-in-law, Minnette Clepper and her husband, Greg.
In addition to his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by sisters, Carol Pero and Sandy Leonard; niece, Megan Hemlock; parents-in-law, Robert and Rowena Rust; and brother-in-law, Randy Bress.
Friends may call at the Woodcock United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 15 from 1-2 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm with Becky Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Gravel Run Cemetery. Additional parking for funeral service available at the Woodcock Presbyterian Church, north of the Methodist Church.
I was devastated to read about Al’s passing .I worked with Al for over 30 years .We had a lot of fun working together . I will really miss him . His family is in my prayers .
I’m so sorry for your loss! Whenever you look at the moon, think of your loved ones who have passed. When there is a full moon, you’ll see Al smiling down at you! Deepest condolences.
