Audeen Melvin, 79, of Cambridge Springs passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, February 10, 2023. Audeen was born in Venango on February 7, 1944, daughter of the late Lester Ralph Davis and Mabel Marie Peterson Davis. She attended Cambridge Springs High School and on September 23, 1961, she married Larry E. Melvin. As a dedicated mother and talented homemaker, she treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She found great joy in attending all her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and was an active volunteer, along with Jane Smith, for the Venango Little League Auxiliary. She enjoyed birdwatching, traveling, camping with Chaz and Judy Davis and motorcycling with her husband.

Audeen was preceded in death by her son Jeff Melvin on February 8, 2020, and sister Alberta Smith on February 27, 2013.
Survivors include husband Larry Melvin of Cambridge Springs; son Bob Melvin and his wife Robin of Cambridge Springs and their children: granddaughter Alyssa Galvin (Chris Galvin), grandson Connor Melvin (Rachael Marczak), grandson Nick Pearson, and granddaughter Jenna Pearson, and granddaughter Gwennyth Melvin; daughter-in-law Mary Melvin of Willoughby Hills, OH and her children: granddaughter Jenna Melvin (Kyle Sanson), granddaughter Jaclyn Melvin (Lynn Burns), and granddaughter Rachel Melvin; brother Chaz Davis and his wife Judy of Venango; sister-in-law Carole Doutt of Venango; and brother-in-law Dennis Melvin of Cambridge Springs.
Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs on Friday, February 17, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held there on Saturday, February 18, at 11 am with the Rev. Pat Lenox officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or American Heart Association.
