Laurie E. (Wright) Thompson, 58, of Waterford, left this life to walk with the Lord on February 27, 2023, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born to Richard & Donna Wright, on July 26, 1964. She married the love of her life, Norm E. Thompson, on June 30, 2001 and he survives her. She is proceeded in death by her father Richard Wright, brother Richard Wright Jr., and Aunt Kathy Czuliewicz.

Laurie was the General Manager of Harley-Davidson of Erie for over 20 years where she made lifelong friends that became treasured family to her. She loved the sun, sand, reading, times at the beach camp with her family, or anything that had to with her granddaughter. Beach vacations with friends, Christmas in Cabin with her family, and softball season with all her girls over their years were her favorite times of the year, other than her birthday month which lasted all of July. Camping, SXS rides, sunrises, and Sunday drives with Norm filled her heart with love while quietly talking life with her “Marky” fed her soul. Family was everything to Laurie. She loved “her people” immensely and made taking care of them her passion and priority. She filled a room with light, laughter, sarcasm, and snacks. She was the caretaker, the boss, and the comedian. Her laugh was contagious and the light followed her everywhere.

Laurie leaves behind her beloved husband Norm, mother Donna Wright, her “Medium Loves” Mark and Jess Thompson, her “Little Love” granddaughter Londyn; sisters Lynne Wright (Jacquelyn Glass), Lisa Pusateri (Sam Pusateri), sister in-law Staci Wright (Rick), in-laws Chuck, Laurie, Larry and Lisa Thompson, Susan and Leon Mackowski; mother in-law Juanita Thompson; nephews Levi & Tory Pusateri, Travis Thompson, Justin & Brandon Mackowski; nieces Macy Pusateri, Jenna and Haley Wright, Michelle Thompson and Missy Wisnyai; numerous friends, amazing cousins; a closet full of purses, shoes, and a billion memories for all of us to hold onto.

Friends may visit with the family at Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford on Thursday, March 2nd from 2 – 6 pm with a service following. Burial will be in Waterford Cemetery.
