Phillis D. Stanley Gilmore, 88 of Meadville passed away on March 28, 2023, Phillis was born on September 6, 1934, in Akron, Ohio the daughter of the late Walter and Marjorie Edwards Stanley. She graduated with the class of 1952 from Saegertown High School. On July 10, 1954, she married Richard A. Gilmore, Sr. and their love endured for fifty years. She had worked at Talon for several years and retired from the Crawford County Care Center in 1995. As a Christian who depended on God for strength, she excelled at homemaking and took delight in her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and caring husband, Richard Gilmore, Sr. in September 2004; and a precious daughter, Susan D. Gilmore, age 9, in 1980.
Survivors include two loving and caring sons: Richard “Rick” Gilmore, Jr and his wife, Darlene of Ocala, Fl; and William “Bill” Gilmore and his wife, Judie of Meadville; grandson, Ryan Gilmore and his wife, Amanda of North Carolina; granddaughter, Misty of Tennessee; and great granddaughter, Abigail of North Carolina.
Private interment will be at Venango Cemetery.
