Edward L. Hendrickson, 75, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2023, at his longtime home in Cambridge Springs. Ed was born in Greenville, PA on July 19, 1947, the son of Edward K. Hendrickson and Frances Elizabeth May Hendrickson.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers and sisters, Guy, Kay, Sylvia, Gene, and Alan.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Victoria Styborski Hendrickson, his daughters: Dr. Holly

Hendrickson Yee and her husband Ken of Colorado; Amber Monte and her fiancé Patrick Zilis

and her children River and Harper of California; Katie Hendrickson of Maine; and Jessica

Hendrickson and her children Skyla and Kaden of Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews,

cousins, and friends.

Ed grew up above the family business, an auto parts store, in Cambridge Springs and was a

1965 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School. He served in the US Navy in the South

Pacific during the Vietnam war from 1966-70. He returned to successfully run Hendrickson’s

True Value Hardware in Cambridge Springs until retiring in 2020. He was previously a member

of the Cambridge Area Industrial Development Corporation for over forty years, The United

States Junior Chamber (Jaycees), the Riverside Golf Club Wednesday night Men’s League, and the

men’s bowling league at Lost Lanes.

Ed enjoyed fishing for walleye in French Creek and playing golf at the Riverside Golf Course,

where he hit a hole-in-one on hole number eight. He loved living in the country, mowing the

yard, and watching the wildlife. He enjoyed watching documentaries, listening to relaxing music,

and was a long time Star Trek fan. On top of his business acumen, he was a skilled handyman

and could tackle any home improvement project. He was always there to help his family and

friends. He supported Vikki’s never ending volunteer work, along with his daughters’ many

projects, even from thousands of miles away.

Ed survived a sudden cardiac arrest fifteen years ago while working in his backyard. We were

very lucky to have had him in our lives these last fifteen years.

Per his wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Riverside Golf Course. Instead of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Cambridge Springs Public Library.
