Dennis Charles Orr, 81, of Cambridge Springs passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 21, 2023, with his wife Valerie by his side. Dennis was born on June 27, 1941, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of the late Roy Orr and Katherine Harpel Orr. He joined the US Army in 1959, serving for three years. On September 16, 1971, he married Valerie Yarkosky, and they were happily married for over fifty-two years. Dennis retired in 1998, after thirty years working for Lord Corporation in Saegertown. He was a history buff who enjoyed participating in 18th century American history reenactments and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Dennis was preceded in death by daughter Amanda Orr on January 4, 2001.
Survivors include wife Valerie Orr of Cambridge Springs; daughter Laura Savory and her husband Bennett of Baton Rouge, LA; daughter Traecy Pate and her husband, Darryl of Atlanta, GA; sister Patricia Knepper of Fort Wayne, IA; brother-in-law Michael Yarkosky of Cambridge Springs; and sister-in-law Jill Shafer and her husband Cris of Cambridge Springs.
