Gladys L. Locke Davis, 89 formerly of Mosiertown passed away at Rolling Fields on September 24, 2023. Gladys was born in Meadville on August 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Arthur Locke and Marion Kohler Locke. After graduating from Cambridge Springs High School, she married Richard Davis on August 1, 1953. Gladys worked as a clerk for Meadville Livestock Auction, retiring after forty years.  She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Crossingville. Her hobbies included tending her beautiful flowers and sewing. Many of her quilts entered in the Crawford County Fair won blue ribbons. Gladys was a dedicated mother and grandmother who treasured time spent with her family.

      In addition to her parents Gladys was preceded in death by husband, Richard Davis on July 15, 1995; sister, Dorothy Shawl; and a great granddaughter.

      Survivors include five children Dan (Mary) Davis of Florida; Don (Barb) Davis of Meadville; Bob (Debbie)Davis of Meadville; Brenda (Earl) Spates of Michigan and Diane Kleckner of North Carolina. Gladys was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.     

Friends may call at Van Matre Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs on Wednesday, September 27, at 10 am until time of funeral at 12, with the Rev. Ron Sheldon of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating. Committal and interment will follow at Carmel Freeman Cemetery.
