Ronald “Ronnie” B. Peters, age 61, of Mill Village, passed away peacefully at home with his devoted wife of 39 years by his side. Ronnie has been lost to us due to BV FTD (Behavioral Variant Frontotemporal Dementia) and has finally found peace. He graduated with Fort LeBoeuf Class of 1981 and attended the Erie County Vo-Tech School for Tool & Die, but preferred to spend his life as a farmer. Ronnie grew up on Rocky Top Farm where he farmed with his father. Later, he purchased the farm and continued his passion for farming with his wife, Marilyn.

In his younger years, Ron participated in the Tri- County Mini Modified Pullers. He was recently recognized as a 50-year lifetime member of the Mill Village Volunteer Fire Company and held the title of Chief for several years. As a final act of generosity, he donated his brain to the Brain Donor Project for BV FTD Research.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde “Red” and Rae Marie Peters, niece Leah Gallant, father-in-law Jim McLaughlin, and a brother who passed in infancy.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn, and two sons- Brian, his wife Ali and their children Abigail, Noah, Christopher, Liam and Madelynn, along with son Brandon and his daughter Brynley. In addition, Ronnie is survived by sister Laurie Gallant and her husband Jim, brother Rustin Peters and his wife Merita, and brother Kevin Peters and his wife Sandra. He is further survived by his mother-in-law Roberta McLaughlin, favorite sister-in-law Sue Leslie (Mike), sister-in-law Roberta Davis, and brother-in-law Andrew McLaughlin (Corey); along with many nieces and nephews.
